First Icicle Fall

-Hey, you know that upcoming winter? Boy, doesn't it feel like it's coming early? And the lake sure has gotten misty all of the sudden.

Like, no, seriously, it's friggin' COLD near the lake, and the cold just creeps into the village in the form of cool breezes. Some might find this refreshing. Others might find it annoying. But really, the weather is doing some funky cool stuff.

Care to investigate the lake? y/n?-

*Investigate? Nah. But Sakuya has noticed the frigid breezes from the lake, so she's gone to see if it's already started to ice over.* I wonder, is it really so unseasonable?

[Jack Sparrow's always been a canny weather-reader. He pauses in his work at the lakeside as yet another icy breeze whips past, and tucks the scarf that Luna knitted for him more tightly around his neck.]

[Jack stands at the edge of the lake, swaying, still clutching one of Winry's hammers. He's on the verge of just ignoring the strange spectacle and getting back to work on the cabin of his ship, which is getting quite cozy and nice inside...or should he get to the bottom of this?]

[There's a cold wind blowing... coming from the lake. It's really strange... November was cold in Luceti. Colder than he was used to, but this? This felt like the dead of winter. Even for a cold snap, it's a little weird, seeing how it seems to be warmer in some places of the village than others.

...Better go investigate, right? Well, the strange, cold mist around the lake is something of a concern, but Adell pushes his way to the bank, suppressing a cold chill as he looks out upon the waters...]

-A relatively giant iceberg suddenly juts up from the cold deep, settling with a huge splash of freezing water.-

[Adell staggers back startled but on guard when the rumbling and splash occur. The huge iceberg creates enough of a wave to get him wet on the bank, and sending a shiver up his spine.

...Well. That's not something you see every day.]

Koa goes out to the lake on Thursdays, that's what. Although this is probably the last time she'll be going this year before it gets too cold to really bother.]

[It takes her a moment, but she does notice the icebergs once she actually looks out onto the water. Her immediate reaction is to freeze up—pun may or may not be intentional—and stare, memories of the previous winter suddenly worming their way back into her mind and leaving her with a sudden and very uncomfortable feeling.

It's isn't late enough for the lake to be freezing already...is it?]

[The best thing about winter, or nearly so, was how much faster the day darkened. There was still a little daylight left, but the sun had hidden itself and its offending burn away well enough.

Hence, why Flandre was fluttering around outside! She needed practice, and...there she goes flying sideways again.

As she corrects herself and flutters back to her sister's side in a slightly more controlled manner, she notices this...mist that she's flown over. It's chilly, and wasn't there a lake there before?]

...it's cold.
