First Icicle Fall

-Hey, you know that upcoming winter? Boy, doesn't it feel like it's coming early? And the lake sure has gotten misty all of the sudden.

Like, no, seriously, it's friggin' COLD near the lake, and the cold just creeps into the village in the form of cool breezes. Some might find this refreshing. Others might find it annoying. But really, the weather is doing some funky cool stuff.

Care to investigate the lake? y/n?-

[Jack Sparrow's always been a canny weather-reader. He pauses in his work at the lakeside as yet another icy breeze whips past, and tucks the scarf that Luna knitted for him more tightly around his neck.]

[Jack stands at the edge of the lake, swaying, still clutching one of Winry's hammers. He's on the verge of just ignoring the strange spectacle and getting back to work on the cabin of his ship, which is getting quite cozy and nice inside...or should he get to the bottom of this?]

Tia? Is that you, darling?

-More icebergs. So many of them that it is, in fact, getting quite fucking frigid. The surface of the water isn't freezing though... the source of the cold has to be inside the water.-

[The pirate shivers, buttoning up his coat and wrapping the scarf around the lower part of his face. He's wondering whether it's too late to ask Buffy if he can have his gloves back. The tips of his fingers are losing feeling. He calls again:]

Tia Dalma! This ain't a bit funny, love!

-A truly gigantic chunk of ice finds its way to the surface, settling with a gigantic splash of cold water.-

WHOA! [Sparrow jumps back! Drops the hammer! Is wet, blast it, and colder than ever!]

RIGHT! That's enough, Lake! [He picks up the hammer and hurls it rather accurately at the chunk of ice. He can always steal another one from Winry later.]

-And from the thick fog... a sound is heard.-

OW! WHO'S THROWIN' STUFF!

I'M THROWIN' STUFF! ME! SPARROW! BLOODY FREEZING LAKE!

[Of course, all this shouting is delivered through chattering teeth, so it's anyone's guess how much of it she'll understand.]

[Tackle indeed! Sparrow falls over mostly from surprise. There's a lot of nautical-themed swearing as he does so.]

[This next said--again--through chattering teeth. The pirate's so numb at this point that a punch wouldn't make much difference.]
