Age: Cirno's over 60 in canon but this is a pretty pointless number since she's a fairy.
Personality: Cirno is, to put it simply, very stupid. Her intelligence is something of a running gag in the series, and much of it has to do with her being exceptionally childish. She doesn't understand more complicated situations, and basic problem solving skills tend to be pushed aside in favor of simpler, often bull-headed solutions.
Because of this, Cirno is very quick to pick fights. She believes she is The Strongest and she'll fight anyone that wants to prove otherwise. And if she loses, it's obviously because the other person was cheating or some other fluke. And, really, it doesn't come off as ill placed childhood arrogance. She really does honestly believe that she is The Strongest and projects a certain bizarre (and possibly undeserved) confidence that shines through in most every action.
Cirno can make friends, and enemies/rivals, very easily because of this personality. To some, she is an inspiring and heroic figure. To others, she is an annoying and bratty child who needs a good smacking. There is rarely an in-between. And what friends she does make, she sticks to like glue. She'll do anything for her friends, no matter what the task is. It's actually a pretty amazing, though still childish, trait.
Appearances aside, Cirno is described canonly as a very tomboyish girl. She is rough and tumble and isn't afraid of getting herself dirty or bloody. This is an exceptionally rare trait amongst fairies, who tend to be more feminine and gentle in attitude in spite of their trouble-making ways. Cirno, however, is not only exceptionally powerful for a fairy, but her larger-than-life attitude makes her a bit of a dividing figure amongst her kind. Some revere her as a hero. Some look at her as a disgrace. She is completely unaware of most of this.
She has no mental strengths. I mean, I guess her stubborn will is something of a strength, but it gets her in trouble more than it does any good. Cirno is a complete moron. Her higher thinking skills are just not... there. Somehow, in spite of all of this, she loves riddles and will stop EVERYTHING to try and solve them. This is actually the easiest way to avoid a fight with her. Just give her a riddle and, derp, she's off on something else and has completely forgotten why she confronted you in the first place. She rarely solves them correctly. But she's convinced she's right anyways.
Cirno doesn't seem to have belief in anything but herself and her friends. But considering her dedication to those things, one could call it almost on the level of religious zealousness. It's hard to tell for certain the extent she will go to in canon alone. But we do know that she's not really one to hide her emotions. And being an open book can be a good thing sometimes. However, Cirno is not all that capable of dealing with more complicated emotional situations very well. As emphasized several times so far, she's very childish. She is probably capable of FEELING them, but understanding and coming to terms with them is something else entirely. As is to be expected of someone like her.

Magical Girl Academy AU Information
AU Personality Changes: There are no major personality changes, though she's not AS stupid as she is in proper canon.
AU History Changes: Cirno was adopted by and doted on by an old Japanese couple when she was just a tiny baby. The only thing known about her is that a) the name she was left with was "Cirno" and b) well she's not Japanese but eh, she's naturalized enough by now. Cirno was raised, largely, on classic magical girl comics by her adoptive father, who used to work at a print shop, and came up with this ideal of being the strongest. It has stuck with her for her entire life, shaping her into the person demonstrated in the personality section. She was never very good at book learning, and only barely managed to pass exams (usually via cheating).
This all changed, of course, the day she discovered a Shade attacking her school. Her friends. Her parents that were visiting. She froze in fear as the distortion closed in around her. Was she going to be eaten? Sucked dry of her soul? She had no idea... and then she realized she was, quite literally, frozen. In ice. And after bursting through, it was obvious a lot had changed. Not just her clothes, but everything about her. She was cold, incredibly cold, but not in a way that harmed her or made her shiver. The ice seemed to respond to her, and even the water vapor in the air would draw in and form around her in ice.
She'd become a Magical Girl, just like the ones she'd grown up watching on TV, idolizing in comics. This was really her. And with that, she had used her new found powers to (crudely) defeat the shade and cast out the distortion, saving her school and her parents. Of course she also knew what this meant... that she'd be going away to that place where magical girls trained to fight off the Shades. With tears and smiles, she said goodbye to her friends and family on the day she left. Even if she wasn't born to that life, it was the one she felt like she belonged to.
Welp. Off to become the Strongest she knew she could be.
Other AU Changes: Cirno is obviously human, and has a human age of 14 (though, lbr, she's super immature even for that age, what a dumbass)

Transformation Item & Phrase: Cirno has no special item, or at least she thinks she doesn't, but when she transforms, she clasps her hand to her chest and calls out "Unnatural Chill! Transform!", flashes brightly, and bursts from a layer of ice in her magical duds.
Powers and Attacks: Cirno's special ability is manipulation of cold and, rudimentarily, water in the form of ice. She can create ice in most any shape she desires, though it will still wind up largely crystal shaped. She can also fire off icey projectiles, freezing other things around her. She can create fields of cold, manipulating the temperature in a given area into freezing levels, and perhaps beyond with the proper training.
Cirno's wings are non functional in this world and aren't actually meant to allow her to fly, though she'll eventually learn how to propel herself with ice ala Marvel's Iceman. What's more interesting is the powers she's not aware of, largely that in henshin form she is psuedo-immortal. She can be killed, especially by heat based attacks, but certain kinds of trauma will only "shatter" her, in which she will eventually reform. This, however, is currently a power unknown to her, or to anyone else.
