Seventh Icicle Falls [voice]

-There is very gentle sobbing heard over the journals. And a few attempts at scribbling words, but the person making the entry just can't seem to manage it. So eventually, she speaks. It's difficult to understand through the crying, but some may be able to make it out.-

I... I need help. I dunno where I am. I hurt all over. Please... someone help me...

-Some might recognize her voice. That usually cheerful, if a bit obnoxious, fairy.-

[[ ooc: Cirno's death tax is that she lost her immunity to cold. The side effects being that she is now freezing her tail off AND she generates normal body heat instead of the cool aura she used to. This can be reversed by magic ritual, but for now she's stuck being a relatively normal fairy. ]]

-Cirno was honestly shocked when she felt that warmth. She was usually so adverse to it. The heat bothered her more than anything else. But when that warmth struck her, she moved into it, cherishing it, clinging to it as if her life depended on it.-

[Warmth is an amazing thing after a long time in the cold. Mercury knows that very well. She sympathizes with Cirno, truly, although she can't resist the moralizing lecture in the end:]

You thought coldness could win you strength, but you need warmth, too.

[San's first reaction is to try to defend the fairy from whoever it is that just came crashing through the forest. ...But this human had blankets. So for now, there will be no attacking. Still, at the moment she doesn't find speaking to Ami to be entirely necessary either, and directs her words at Cirno instead]

Are you injured?

-Cirno didn't understand. She honestly did not know that the 'hurt all over' she was feeling was the cold. She didn't know why the warmth felt nice. She just didn't understand.-

I ache... all over.

You've been out in the cold too long. We need to go inside to warm up. Can you walk if we help you?

You could freeze.

[blunt, isn't she?]

[Tear is making her way toward them, pausing once she lays eyes on the trio and slightly out of breath. Nevertheless relief washes over her when she sees Cirno being cared for, glad that she hadn't been alone in the time it took her to get here.]

How is she...? [Moving in closer now, ready to take the fairy to whatever place she needed to be.]

She'll be alright if we hurry. [Mercury affords the newcomer a brief nod of acknowledgment.] Please help us move her carefully. I can monitor her vital signs as we warm her up once she's inside.

Very well. Just tell me what to do. [She does still have those extra blankets, just in case.]

-All the talk about cold and the implications of it being bad just confused her more. She had no idea what to say. But when Tear came into view, when she heard her voice, Cirno reacted. She reached for the woman, calling her name weakly.-

[There are now a few too many humans at this party. ...And it seems Cirno wants help the most from the one with the long hair. San will relent and help with the carrying, but when they get to a building it isn't likely she'll go inside]

You brought more. Good. [Mercury affords Tear a small smile. She nods at San as she moves to help support Cirno's weight.]

[Tear moves closer and carefully wraps another blanket around Cirno, taking one of her hands and giving her a soft smile as she adjusted to not get in the way of the others.]

Where are we taking her...?

-Cirno remained silent. Something about Tear being there was more than comforting. It was... Anyways, she was quiet, and likely would be the rest of the trip.-

I can monitor her better at my house, but I have more equipment at the clinic.

[The others can decide from that information.]

[they want to take her inside somewhere. San will have none of that. ...And besides, these two probably wouldn't listen or even think about anything she might have to say. Typical human.

So she will take just one step back, and then disappear into the snowy forest again.]

[Tear takes notice of San, but doesn't know what to do about it, especially with so much of her focus on Cirno's well-being.] Is it safe to move her...?

[Mercury glances after San, but before she can say anything, she turns back to Tear and shakes her head honestly.]

I wouldn't want to, but we don't have a choice right now. If we leave it like this, she'll really get hurt.

-She's just a little too focused on clinging to Tear to say much else.-

[Tear takes note of this, trying to fight the urge to just hold her close and never let go.]

Cirno... can you tell me how you feel now?

-She shifts a bit, looking up to the woman.-

A little better...

Then we should go. I'm sorry; but waiting will make it worse, in the cold.

[She glances to Tear.]

Please help me bring her indoors.

All right. [In her mind, she's taking in what Mercury said about the cold. Cirno was an ice fairy, wasn't she? She shouldn't be so affected by the cold. But with how her hand felt in hers...]

-Yep. It's warm. Just like hers.-

But I wonder what it was that got her so sick...
